آب انبار نوگاباد از آب انبارهای کوچک شهر نایین است. این آب انبار که در کنار مسجد خواجه واقع شده است، از دو بادگیر بلند بهره می‌برد. آب انبار نوگاباد در چند سال گذشته توسط اداره میراث فرهنگی مورد بازسازی قرار گرفته است.مسئله آب نایین به ویژه آب شرب مردم از قدیم الایام یکی از مسائل روزمره و معضل اجتماعی مردم این دیار بوده و امروزه نیز کم و بیش مبتلا به آن هستیم. اگر نظاره ای به قدمت قنوات هفتگانه شهر «گزيسر، ورزجان، حنفش، میرکان، راحت آباد و محمدآباد و عاشق آباد» که متأسفانه به استثنای قنات حنفش همگی خشک و بایر گردیده اند، داشته باشیم به این نتیجه می رسیم که اولاً قدمت این قنوات شاید از هزار سال بیشتر باشد و ثانیاً همه دارای آب شور و غیر قابل شرب می باشد. با این توضیح مختصر در می یابیم که مردم نایین از دیرباز با مشکل آب شرب مواجه بوده و به همین جهت مدام در فکر چاره جویی و رفع این مشکل برآمده اند.

تعداد و تنوع آب انبارها در شهرستان نايين آن را به نام شهر آب انبارها مشهور نموده ، چنانکه در بافت تاريخی شهر نايين در هر کوی و برزن آب انباری با شکل خاص خود به چشم می خورد .آب انبارها در گذشته جزو نیازهای اولیه مردم بودند به همین دلیل افرادی که امکان مالی داشتند، اقدام به احداث آب انبار می کردند که برخی از آنها عمومی و در داخل محله و برخی دیگر خصوصی و در منازل بود.آب اين آب انبارها در قديم از آبهای سطحی باران و برف تأمين می شده که در سالهای بعد از چشمه های شيرين اطراف نايين تأمين و هم اکنون با ذخيره کردن آب توسط آب لوله کشی شهری در زمستان تأمين می گردد .آب انبارهای نایین از لحاظ عناصر و اجزاء ساختمان شباهت تمامی با هم دارند. این آب انبارها به خاطر شرایط اقلیمی و کویری نایین ساخته می‌شدند زیرا آب بیشتر قناتها شور و غیرقابل استفاده بود.
راه پله و محل برداشت آب ازدیگر قسمتهای آب انبارهای نایین است. هر محله در نایین دارای یک آب انبار بوده که هنوز نیز پابر جا هستند و برخی از آنها تا چند سال پیش مورد استفاده قرار می‌گرفتند. از معروفترین آب انبارهای نایین آب انبار معصوم خانی است که در محله چهل دختران واقع است. در شهر کویری نایین، آب مهم‌ترین عنصر حیات و بقا در دوره‌های مختلف تاریخی محسوب می‌شود و آب انبارها مهم‌ترین منبع نگهداری و تأمین آب در فصول گرم سال در این منطقه‌است. از شهر نایین با بیش از ۵۰ بنای آب انبار می‌توان به شهر آب انبارها یاد نمود که ۸۰ درصد از آنها مورد استفاده‌است و اکثراً به پمپ برقی مجهز هستند. با این وجود از سال ۱۳۷۵ آب شرب لوله‌کشی از زاینده‌رود به نایین منتقل می‌شود.
در نایین آب انبارها را به تناسب نیاز با اشکال مختلفی می‌توان مشاهده نمود. معمولاً شکل کلی آب انبارها با یک مخزن و دو بادگیر در کنار آن و یک پاشیر روبروی آن دیده می‌شود ولی به تناسب نیاز گاهی با یک پاشیر دو مخزن (آب انبار خان یا دوقلوی نایین و محمدیه) با یک مخزن و دو پاشیر (آب انبار مصلای نایین) و اشکال متنوع دیگر می‌توان مشاهده نمود.
قدمت آب انبارهای نایین از صفویه به بعد بوده و در طول دوره‌های تاریخی مهم‌ترین عامل ذخیره آب محسوب می‌گردیده است در نایین این عنصر معماری با وجود در دسترس بودن فناوریهای روز، هنوز مورد استفاده‌است.
